Customer Support (Linux)

A2 Hosting is a premier web hosting company that focuses on delivering fast hosting solutions, fast support, and fast setup to web professionals and SMBs around the world. We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our support team. This is a fully remote position; ideal candidates will demonstrate a high level of reliability and professionalism. 

 

To qualify and be successful in this position, you must have: 

  • Strong customer service skills and a desire to grow technical knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting common issues with popular Content Management Software (CMS)s such as but not limited to Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, and Magento. 
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to common web hosting services including Apache HTTP, FTP, SSH, MySQL, DNS, Litespeed, CentOS, and CloudLinux.
  • A strong desire to improve our support process by suggesting areas of improvement or efficiency. 

You will be expected to:

  • Deliver an excellent customer service experience via email, phone, and live chat. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with a focus on providing the highest level of customer service and first contact resolution. 
  • Collaborate with team members and escalate issues when needed to ensure proper and timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Have an unsurpassed customer focus in every aspect of the day-to-day operation. 
  • Be curious and continue to expand your technical knowledge. 
  • Demonstrate a passion for solving customer issues, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and working closely with our entire support team. 
  • Share knowledge by contributing to both internal and external technical documentation. 
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while interacting with multiple clients simultaneously. 

Requirements:

  • Ability to work from home as this is a 100% remote position. Reliable internet connectivity and the ability to temporarily relocate in case of service interruption is required.
  • Ability to provide your own equipment that qualifies under A2 Hosting’s Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy
  • Previous experience in web hosting or related Internet fields.
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends.
